Dr. Yichen Lu

Co-Founder, CEO

Dr. Lu is an infectious disease expert who has spent more than 35 years in research institutions and private businesses focused on vaccine development. Dr. Lu also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hainan VTI Bioengineering Development Company. Prior to that, he was CEO of Vaccine Technologies Inc (VTI) in Boston for more than 12 years. Earlier in his career, he served various research leadership roles at Harvard AIDS Institute, Virus Research Institute, Institute for International Vaccine Development, and William Haseltine’s Lab at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Dr. Lu is the lead editor of several books on infectious diseases, including Emerging Infections from Asia, AIDS in AIDS, the Handbook of Global Tuberculosis Control, and HIV/AIDS Treatment in Resource Poor Countries.

Education: Ph.D. in Virology from Temple University, Pennsylvania.
Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Nankai University, China.
